Every screen in Bizuno is built from the same four zones. Once you know them, you can find anything.

the Home page with callouts on each of the four zones.

Zone 1 — The top bar #

Stretching across the top of every screen:

  • Bizuno logo (far left) — click to return to the Home dashboard at any time.
  • Gear icon — opens Admin / Business settings (company info, users, taxes, form templates, system settings). Only users with admin permission see everything here.
  • Plus (+) icon — the quick-add button. Click it to start a new customer, vendor, item, invoice, or journal entry without navigating through the menu.
  • User avatar (far right) with a small down arrow — your user menu. Click to see:
  • My Profile — your preferences, email, theme, and mail server settings.
  • Manage Dashboards — choose which widgets appear on the Home dashboard and on each module dashboard.
  • Support Ticket — open a support request to PhreeSoft.
  • Sign Out — ends your session.

Zone 2 — The left menu #

The left side of every screen lists the seven main modules:

Customers · Vendors · Inventory · Banking · General Ledger · Quality · Tools

Click any module to expand its sub-menu (for example, Customers expands to Dashboard, Manager, Sales Manager, Returns, Order Fulfillment, Prices Manager, Projects, Promotions, and Reports). The first item under every module is always that module’s Dashboard — a quick-look screen with widgets relevant to that area.

Collapsing the menu #

Click the double-arrow at the top of the left menu to collapse it down to icons only — handy when you’re working in a wide table or a long form. Click it again to expand.

Zone 3 — The main work area #

Everything you click on loads into the main work area. It might be:

  • A dashboard (a grid of widgets you can rearrange — see Using the dashboard),
  • A manager (a searchable list of records with a toolbar — customers, items, invoices, etc.),
  • An editor (a form with tabs, for adding or editing one record), or
  • A report (a generated PDF or printable view).

Most screens have a toolbar at the top with standard buttons: Save, Cancel, Refresh, New, Delete, Print, Email.

Zone 4 — The status footer #

The thin strip at the very bottom of every Bizuno screen shows:

Your site name · Period: NN · Bizuno version · Language and currency · Current screen

Example: Bizuno Demo - Period: 04 | 7.3.8-232-en_US-USD - Home | © PhreeSoft™

The Period number matters for accounting — it’s the current accounting period in your fiscal year. Transactions post to whatever period is open.

Icons you’ll see everywhere #

Some icons repeat across many screens. Here’s the shortlist:

  • Save icon (floppy disk) — save your changes.
  • Cancel icon (curved arrow) — discard changes and go back.
  • Refresh icon (circular arrows) — reload the data.
  • Trash icon — delete the current record.
  • Pencil icon — edit the selected row.
  • X (close) — close a panel or window.
  • Magnifying glass — open a search.

Keyboard shortcuts #

  • Esc closes most pop-up dialogs.
  • Enter in a search box runs the search.
  • Tab moves to the next form field; Shift+Tab moves back.

Where to go next #

Before you enter any real transactions, do the First-run setup checklist.
