Your profile is where you set how Bizuno looks and feels for you — your default date range, how many rows show in a list, which theme you see, and how emails go out when you send a quote or invoice from inside Bizuno. Nothing here affects anyone else’s account.

Opening your profile #

Click the user avatar in the top-right corner → My Profile.

The profile screen has two tabs: Options and Reminders. Options is where 95% of your settings live.

the Options tab with General and Mail Server panels visible.
the Options tab with General and Mail Server panels visible.

The Options tab — General #

This panel sets display and interaction preferences.

FieldWhat it doesNotes
TitleShows up on some reports and in email signatures (e.g., “Sales Manager”).Optional.
EmailYour login email. Changing this changes how you sign in.Keep it current.
Signoff PINYour password. Change it here.Use a strong password — Bizuno has access to your company’s books.
LanguageInterface language for your account.Available languages depend on installed language packs.
Default Date RangeThe default period when you open a list or report (Current Period, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, This Year, etc.).Set this to match how you typically work.
Default # ResultsHow many rows show per page in lists: 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50.20 is a reasonable default; pick 50 if you have a big monitor.
Sitewide IconsDefault or Nuvola icon set.Nuvola is a softer, more colorful look.
ThemeThe color scheme. Choose Auto Detect to follow your OS’s light/dark preference, or pick a specific theme (Bizuno, Black, Material, Metro, and others).Changing theme takes effect after you save and reload.

Recommended defaults #

For most users: Language = your native language, Default Date Range = Current Period, Default # Results = 20, Sitewide Icons = Default, Theme = Auto Detect.

The Options tab — Mail Server #

This panel decides how Bizuno sends email on your behalf — things like emailing a PDF invoice to a customer, sending a quote follow-up, or delivering a reminder.

FieldWhat it doesNotes
Mail DeliveryChooses the email method: PhreeSoft Hosted, SMTP Email, or Google gMail.PhreeSoft Hosted requires a linked PhreeSoft account.
SMTP HostThe outgoing mail server (e.g., smtp.yourdomain.com).Only shown when Mail Delivery = SMTP Email.
SMTP PortUsually 587 (STARTTLS) or 465 (SSL).Ask your email provider if unsure.
SMTP UsernameThe email account used for sending.Usually the full email address.
SMTP PasswordThe password (or app password) for that account.Gmail and some providers require an app password, not your regular password.
Google App PasswordFor Gmail delivery. Generate this in your Google account under Security → App passwords.See the Google App link next to the field for instructions.

If you use Google Workspace, Google gMail is the cleanest option — it uses OAuth or an app password and doesn’t require SMTP plumbing.

The Reminders tab #

Reminders are pop-ups that nudge you to do things (e.g., “Follow up on open quotes over 30 days old”). The tab lets you enable or disable individual reminder types and set their timing. Most users leave this at defaults.

Saving changes #

Click Save in the toolbar at the top of the screen. A confirmation appears briefly. Theme and language changes take effect after your next page reload — click the Bizuno logo in the top bar, or press F5, to see them.

Troubleshooting #

“Sending test email failed” — Double-check the SMTP host, port, and password. Port 587 wants STARTTLS; port 465 wants SSL. Gmail needs an app password, not the regular password.

Theme didn’t change — Reload the page. If still unchanged, your browser may be caching an old stylesheet — try Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) for a hard refresh.

Changed my email but can’t sign in — You used your new email on the next login, but Bizuno sent an email confirmation first. Check your old address for a confirm link, or ask an admin to reset.
