These terms govern your use of www.bizuno.com/ — the project site and forum. They do not govern the Bizuno software itself; that’s covered by the AGPL v3 license.
Using this site
You may read www.bizuno.com/ without an account. You need an account to post on the community forum. Keep your password private and don’t share your account. If your account does something abusive, we hold you responsible whether you did it or not.
What you can post
Posts are yours. By posting on the forum you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your post on www.bizuno.com/, in backups, in search engine caches, and in any reasonable republication (an FAQ distilled from forum threads, for example). You keep the copyright; we just need permission to keep showing it.
You agree not to post:
- Anything unlawful where you are or where the reader is.
- Hate speech, harassment, or threats.
- Someone else’s copyrighted work without permission.
- Confidential customer, patient, or personal data belonging to anyone who didn’t authorize you to share it.
- Malware, phishing, or attempts to exploit vulnerabilities in site software.
- Spam, bulk self-promotion, or SEO-link-building content.
Full posting rules are in the pinned moderation rules.
What we can do
We can edit, move, or delete any post that breaks the rules, and we can suspend or close accounts that keep doing it. We try to explain moderation decisions privately; we don’t debate them publicly.
We can take the site down for maintenance, change URLs, reorganize the forum, or retire features. We’ll announce material changes in Announcements when we can.
We can update these terms when the facts change. The version at the top of the page is current.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided “as is.” We try to keep the docs accurate and the forum helpful, but:
- We don’t promise the site will be up at any particular moment.
- We don’t promise a doc article is correct for your version of Bizuno, your platform, or your business.
- We don’t promise a forum answer is correct. It’s a community forum; answers come from volunteers.
- We don’t promise archives, backups, or exports.
If something on this site leads you to break your database, lose data, violate a regulation, or misfile your taxes, that’s on you. Back up. Test in staging. Ask a professional.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PhreeSoft and the Bizuno contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of this site.
Commercial services
If you’ve engaged PhreeSoft for hosted Bizuno, implementation, custom development, or roadmap sponsorship, the contract you signed governs that relationship — not this page. When the contract says one thing and this page says another about that relationship, the contract wins.
The Bizuno software
The Bizuno software is licensed separately under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. Running Bizuno on your own server is governed by that license, not by these terms. See License for the plain-English summary and the full text.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, and of the United States of America, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless a law that applies where you live gives you a right to bring them somewhere else.
Severability
If a court throws out part of these terms, the rest still apply.
